Module aims:

  • To illustrate the application of the principles of evidence-based
    pharmacotherapy to the assessment of minor analgesics.
  • Develop an appreciation of clinical trial design in the evaluation of
    minor analgesics
  • Develop an appreciation of outcome measures used in analgesic
    trials
  • Critical appraisal of reports on the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of
    analgesic agents

  • Understand the design of analgesic trials
  • Knowledge of commonly-used outcome measures in pain trials
