Module aims:
- To illustrate the application of the principles of evidence-based
pharmacotherapy to the assessment of minor analgesics.
- Develop an appreciation of clinical trial design in the evaluation of
minor analgesics
- Develop an appreciation of outcome measures used in analgesic
trials
- Critical appraisal of reports on the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of
analgesic agents

- Knowledge of commonly-used outcome measures in pain trials
- Knowledge of how to apply the principles of evidence-based
