Module Aims:
- Introduce the basic principles of decision analysis
- Develop basic decision-analytic models for
pharmacotherapeutic interventions
- Teach critical appraisal of decision models in health
care with an emphasis on drug therapy
Learning Objectives
- Knowledge of the Classical Rational or Maximisation
model of decision-making
- Knowledge of the different approaches to decision-
making
- Ability to understand published decision-analytic
models in relation to healthcare
- Ability to formulate a classical decision-analytic model
